Biography

Dr. Matin Ashooriyoun is serving as the Faculty at CIHS with expertise in psychoeducational, cognitive, psychosocial, and psycho-diagnostic assessment, for both children and adults. He is skilled in evaluating ADHD, learning disabilities, neurocognitive disorders, giftedness, memory impairment, and personality, social and emotional functioning. He is highly adept at utilizing valid, reliable, and developmentally appropriate tests to help identify individuals’ limitations and difficulties, as well as their strengths, and in formulating educational, personal, and therapeutic recommendations. He specializes in using results of psychological testing to help guide psychotherapy treatment planning and provide valuable information for psychiatric and medication evaluations.


Dr. Ashooriyoun has both extensive inpatient and outpatient experience. He works with the most serious forms of mental illness and how these and less serious problems affect family, job, and social relationships. He is also a skilled Neurofeedback Specialist.


Dr. Ashooriyoun is highly culturally competent, and adept at communication and collaboration. His background is very diverse and multidisciplinary, combining Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Strategic Human Resource Management, and International Business. He is fluent in English and Persian.
