Dr. Sharon G. Mijares is a psychologist, Sufi minister, and the Director of Psychology at the California Institute for Human Science since 2005. She is also a professor at National University and Brandman University. Dr. Mijares has co-authored seven books focused on psychological and spiritual development. The sixth book, A Force Such As the World Has Never Known: Women Creating Change (edited) brings women together from many cultures, and many areas of work.
She has presented workshops in Costa Rica, Ecuador, Egypt, India, Mexico, Scotland, Uganda, United States and Venezuela. Her 7th book, The Power of the Feminine: Facing Shadow/Evoking Light (in press), was co-authored with an Egyptian Sufi leader, a Tibetan feminist, an environmentalist from Ghana, and a U.S. professor. Her efforts are all focused toward a healthier humanity, responsible to and connected with Nature. She earned Shodan rank in Aikido and is a certified Qigung teacher. See
