Greg Lane, DACM, LAc

Dr. Lane joins CIHS as program director for the Integral Health program serving as a clinician and educator for the past 27 years. Most recently he was medical director for Modern Acupuncture, Southern California where he oversaw all clinical activities of 8 acupuncture clinics and 11 acupuncturists with an annual budget of over $2,000,000.00. He currently has a private practice at Revivorship HolisticWellness Center in Encinitas, CA where he provides acupuncture and Chinese medical services to a patient population that is recovering from cancer treatment. Dr. Lane also owns InHomeAcu, an acupuncture house call service for those patients who prefer to receive in-home treatments or who are unable to go to a clinic to receive treatment.


Dr. Lane was formerly Academic Dean of Pacific College of Health and Science and former Clinical Director of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. In his role as Academic Dean, Dr. Lane had oversight of all academic committees and student advising, co-chaired multiple committees related to student success and accreditation, was responsible for maintaining all academic standards and competencies related to regional and programmatic accreditation.


In his private practice Dr. Lane’s philosophy of care views each person as a complex and unique individual. He works collaboratively with his patients and their other health care providers in a team approach to design the most appropriate care for them. His goal is to help patients achieve their health and wellness goals in the most efficient and enjoyable way possible. This approach to patient care is the same approach he takes with students, helping to guide them towards success and a rich academic experience.


Prior to becoming an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist in 1994, Dr. Lane was a professional dancer touring internationally with the Lewitzky Dance Company and subsequently Malashock Dance and then Isaac’s McCaleb Dance and McCaleb Dance. Dr. Lane's innate knowledge of the body, mind and spirit informed his understanding of acupuncture therapy and influences his approach to patient care, whether through acupuncture therapy, herbal medicine, neuro-muscular re-patterning, breathwork, Tai Chi and Qi Gong instruction or strength and flexibility conditioning. Dr. Lane is an avid surfer and Jiu Jitsu practitioner.
