President’s Fund for Research and Scholarship.

Dear CIHS Community,

I am delighted and very grateful to announce that CIHS Trustee Joseph L. Subbiondo has donated $10,000 to initiate a

The fund supports research and scholarship of faculty and students that advance the academic mission of CIHS. Supported activities shall include:

· Presentations to scientific, academic and scholarly conferences.

· Publication in peer reviewed scientific and scholarly journals.

· Fundamental research that leads to publication and/or presentation.

The author or presenter will note publicly an affiliation with CIHS. A committee appointed by the President shall select the grantees. Faculty may apply for support directly to the selection committee. Students may apply for support through a faculty member who is a co-author or co-investigator or advisor on the project.

As CIHS President, I will annually report on the activities of the fund to the CIHS community.

I am appointing a committee composed of the Dean of Research, Dean for Academic Affairs, Dean for Integral Education, and Dean for Student Success to review proposals and make recommendations to me.

Joe hopes that his gift will inspire others to contribute to the President’s Fund for Research and Scholarship to advance the research and scholarly reputation of the University.
