CIHS hosts Special Event with Bigelow Prize Winner Jeffrey Mishlove
Please join us for a CIHS 30 year anniversary special event, an evening of dialog with Jeffrey Mishlove, Wednesday, March 16, from 6:00 to 7:30pm.
In November 2021, Dr. Jeffrey Mishlove was awarded the first prize of $500,000 in the Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies (BICS) essay competition for his paper on the competition question, “What is the best available evidence for the Survival of Human Consciousness after Permanent Bodily Death?”
Those interested in consciousness and the paranormal may be familiar with Dr. Mishlove as the host of the popular national public television series Thinking Allowed that broadcast from 1987 to 2002. He is now host of the New Thinking Allowed: Conversations on the Leading Edge of Knowledge and Discovery, YouTube channel that has over 109,000 subscribers.
This evening of dialogue will explore Dr. Mishlove’s Bigelow prize winning essay, the evidence for survival of consciousness, what this means for our scientific understanding of the nature of reality, and how it relates to the founding mission of CIHS.
We are planning three sections for this 90 minute evening event. Dr. Mishlove will summarize his work collecting evidence on the survival of consciousness; this will be followed by a dialogue between Dr. Mishlove and CIHS President, Dr. Thomas Brophy
, and then we will have ample time for question and answer with attendees.
Please register in advance here. This is a free event, that requires advance registration.
As a special CIHS 30 year anniversary event we ask only that you consider making a tax deductible donation to support CIHS’ ability to offer events like this and educational and research programs at the leading edge of mind, body, spirit discovery.
