Announcing CIHS’ Integral Health Programs Director Dr. Greg Lane
CIHS is delighted to announce that on April 26, Dr. Greg Lane has been appointed to serve as CIHS’ Director of Integral Health Programs.
Dr. Lane is eminently suited for this role. A Licensed Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine with 28 years of clinical experience, Gr

eg also has eight years of experience in both clinical directorship and academic administration in higher education. He served as clinical director and academic dean for Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and subsequently Pacific College of Health and Science where he oversaw curriculum and syllabi development, assessments, scholarship activity, faculty governance and program review for WASC accreditation. Greg developed institutional relationships with UCSD center for integrative medicine (CIM) and Scripps Center for Integrative Pain Management, and he is currently one of the clinical leaders of the Revivorship Holistic Cancer Wellness Center that is associated with Soul Of Yoga and CIHS’ MA IH yoga therapy dual programs.
Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, Chinese herbalist, and educator in 1994, Greg was a professional dancer touring internationally with the Lewitzky Dance Company and subsequently Malashock Dance and then Isaac’s McCaleb Dance. Greg’s innate knowledge of the body, mind and spirit informs his understanding of the therapeutic process and influences his approach to education. He is an avid surfer and Jiu Jitsu practitioner.
The search committee, chaired by Sean Esbjörn-Hargens, interviewed several candidates and recommended that Dr. Lane fill this important position at CIHS.
