Thomas Brophy, PhD, is president of the California Institute of Human Science. He also serves as president of the Society for Consciousness Studies. He is author of The Mechanism Demands a Mysticism: An Exploration of Spirit, Matter and Physics as well as The Origin Map: Discovery of a Prehistoric, Megalithic, Astrophysical Map and Sculpture of the Universe. He has also coauthored, two books with Robert Bauval titled Black Genesis: The Prehistoric Origins of Ancient Egypt and Imhotep the African: Architect of the Cosmos.
Here he describes the Japanese founder of the California Institute of Human Science, Hiroshi Motoyama who was a parapsychologist, yogi, and Shinto priest. Motoyama is known for his studies related to the meridians of acupuncture as well as the chakras of yoga. He is the inventor of the Apparatus for Meridian Identification (AMI) device. He was an integral thinker who advocated the synthesis of modern science with the world's spiritual traditions.
