This position provides, develops, and maintains a systematic and evidence-based set of strategies that enables the university to shape its enrollment focusing on student recruitment, retention, and graduation. Working closely with other departments, the Dean for Admissions articulates and implements a dynamic, forward-looking, and comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan that aligns with the university’s strategic initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for enrollment management with direct oversight of Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions, International Admissions, Decision Support for Graduate Admissions, Non-degree Admissions, Admissions Technology, and Partnerships.

  • Review, evaluate, and write university policies and procedures; liaise with faculty and staff, providing recommendations for performance improvement measures and training.

  • Develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, procedures, establish budgets, services, and staffing levels.

  • Develop an overarching enrollment strategy and a comprehensive strategic enrollment management plan for the university’s undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs.

  • Responsible for strategic planning, selection, supervision, and development of personnel.

  • Lead a process that is technologically and strategically advanced, as well as responsive to individual students.

  • Articulate an effective, proactive, and accountable communication approach with internal audiences, administrative offices and faculty, and external audiences, including prospective students and their families.

  • Routinely analyze data to shape strategic direction; regularly reassess the effectiveness of CIHS's recruitment activities and initiatives while making appropriate adjustments to lead an effort that is continuously proactive and responsive to market forces and institutional priorities.

  • Attract students to CIHS academic degree programs, public programs, and community events.

  • Create, direct, and implement admissions strategies.

  • Promote the University and its programs locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

  • Develop admissions strategies by contributing information, analyses, and recommendations, and establish functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.

  • Develop admissions operational strategies by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining student-centered strategies; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; and implementing change.

  • Promote the university and attract new students by maintaining working relationships with other institutions and organizations; work closely with the alumni office and CIHS publications.

  • Maintain the continuing flow of quality applicants and transfers to the University by analyzing trends in enrollment and marketing activities; lead activities to continue effective programs; modify current programs, and present new recruiting strategies.

  • Welcome prospective students to the campus in periodic open houses.

  • Oversee the general marketing of the institute as a whole, in an integrated manner.

  • Develop and implement proper policies and procedures related to Admissions and Enrollment Planning at the university, including Satisfactory Academic Progress SAP policies, compliant with Accreditation standards.

  • Develop and implement the university’s student information system.

  • Implement and oversee the university’s Title IV application, and processes.

  • Provide critical and essential internal and external reporting, assessment, and benchmarking to support the needs of the university.

  • Prepare state, federal, university, and student accountability and compliance reports according to documented requirements.

  • Assist with the development of, and data support for program evaluations and self-studies.

  • Establish and administer processes for preparing special reports in response to inquiries from university leadership, faculty, and staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of, and interest in, the intersection of consciousness studies, the science of consciousness, and integrative health.


  • Masters from a regionally accredited university in a related field.

  • University admissions and marketing experience.

  • Knowledge of F-1 International Student policies and procedures.

  • Advanced knowledge of Customer Relationship Management and Student. Information Systems.

  • Experience managing Title IV Financial Aid Programs.

  • Experience in college or university admissions.

  • Experience in university academic policy creation and implementation.
