Copyright:                                                                                                     Publications are copyrighted for the protection of the authors and the publisher. General Policies:                                                                                                        By submitting to us, authors implicitly agree to a number of editorial and publishing policies that are central to our mission.                                                                                          Informed consent was obtained for studies on humans after the nature and possible consequences of the studies were explained.

Authors agree to disclose all affiliations, funding sources, and financial or management relationships that could be perceived as potential sources of bias.

The paper will remain a privileged document and will not be released to the press or the public before publication (for more information, please see entry on our embargo policy.

By submitting a manuscript, the corresponding author accepts the responsibility that all authors have agreed to be so listed and have seen and approved the manuscript, its content, and its submission to us. Any changes in authorship must be approved in writing by all the original authors.

We will not consider any paper or component of a paper that has been published or is under consideration for publication elsewhere. Distribution on the Internet may be considered prior publication and may compromise the originality of the paper or submission. Please contact the editors with questions regarding allowable postings under this policy.

Reprints & Permissions

Reuse or republication of materials from this Web site may require permission from CIHS Press.

Embargo Policy

An explanation of our policies regarding press contact prior to publication of submitted or accepted papers.

Availability of Materials and Data:                                                                              An inherent principle of publication is that others should be able to replicate and build upon the authors' published claims. Therefore, a condition of publication in CIHS e-Journal is that authors are required to make materials, data and associated protocols available to readers on request. Any restrictions on the availability of materials or information must be disclosed at the time of submission of the manuscript, and the methods section of the manuscript itself should include details of how materials and information may be obtained, including any restrictions that may apply.

Web-based Publication:                                                                                              We will allow, without specific permission, web-based publication of the abstract of an article as soon as it appears in the CIHS Journal, since CIHS press already publishes all abstracts of its current and recently published volumes on its own web site. Again, we would request appropriate recognition be given to the journal and links be established to our web site should readers desire to access all abstracts in a given issue or to subscribe to the journal by joining the association.
