Deferred
Tuition Plan
Tuition and fees should be
paid in full on registration week. An alternative form of
payment is the “Deferred Tuition Plan”: The tuition balance
can be paid in three (3) installments. An additional fee of
$7 per unit will apply.
-
The first payment is scheduled for
the first day of the quarter;
-
The second payment is scheduled for
the beginning of the fourth week of the quarter;
-
The third payment is scheduled for
the beginning of the eighth week of the quarter.
A late fee of
$25 will be added if a student enrolled in the Deferred
Tuition Plan fails to meet deadlines. If a student fails to
fulfill his/her financial obligations with CIHS, he or she
may not have access to grades and transcripts; the student
may not be allowed to register for classes in subsequent
quarters.
Veteran's
Administration (V.A.) Benefits
CIHS adheres to the Guidelines
for Institutions Enrolling Veterans and Eligible Persons in
accordance with Veterans Administration (V.A.) Regulation
14253 revised DVB Circular 20-75-84 dated August 14, 1975
(VA Regulations and Circular).
CIHS
administration assists eligible students in applying for-
and receiving reimbursements from the Veterans
Administration.
Refunds
and Reimbursements
The Institute refunds students
who officially withdraw from a course.
The student
has a right to a full refund, but a course withdrawal fee of
$25.00 will be charged per course. This rule applies to
on-campus and Distance Learning students. For additional
information on course withdrawal policies and procedures,
please click

State of California Student Tuition
Recovery Fund
The Student Tuition Recovery
Fund (STRF) is a fund created by the State of California
intended for reimbursing students when their state-approved
schools close untimely. When students enroll in a program, a
fee is assessed in relation to the cost of tuition. When
school closure occurs, students may file a claim for
reimbursement from STRF for prepaid but unused tuition. The
file claim must be filed within sixty days from the school
closure. Students should keep a copy of their enrollment
agreements, tuition receipts or other financial documents
that can be used to support a claim for reimbursement in
case their school closes untimely.
