Tuition and fees should be paid in full on registration week. An alternative form of payment is the “Deferred Tuition Plan”: The tuition balance can be paid in three (3) installments. An additional fee of  $7 per unit will apply.

  1. The first payment is scheduled for the first day of the quarter;

  2. The second payment is scheduled for the beginning of the fourth week of the quarter;

  3. The third payment is scheduled for the beginning of the eighth week of the quarter.

A late fee of $25 will be added if a student enrolled in the Deferred Tuition Plan fails to meet deadlines. If a student fails to fulfill his/her financial obligations with CIHS, he or she may not have access to grades and transcripts; the student may not be allowed to register for classes in subsequent quarters.

State of California Student Tuition Recovery Fund
The Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) is a fund created by the State of California intended for reimbursing students when their state-approved schools close untimely. When students enroll in a program, a fee is assessed in relation to the cost of tuition. When school closure occurs, students may file a claim for reimbursement from STRF for prepaid but unused tuition. The file claim must be filed within sixty days from the school closure. Students should keep a copy of their enrollment agreements, tuition receipts or other financial documents that can be used to support a claim for reimbursement in case their school closes untimely.
