Admission Requirements for the Master of Arts Degree Programs

In addition to general admission requirements, all applicants for the Master’s degree program must hold a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited or approved college or university.

Requirements for the Master of Arts Degree

1. Course Requirements - A student must complete a minimum of fifty two (52) quarter units of course work credit for the Master of Arts degree in Life Physics, Comparative religion and Philosophy, Psychology and Human Science, respectively.

2. Transfer Units - A student may transfer a maximum of eight (8) quarter credits of acceptable graduate course work.

3. Grade Point Average - A student in the Master’s degree program must maintain a grade point average of 3.0.

4. Successful Completion of all Masters Degree requirements generally takes from one and one half to two years of study as a full time M.A. student.


Admission Requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy Degree Programs

In addition to general admission requirements, all applicants for the Doctoral programs must have previously earned a Master’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited or approved college or university.

Requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy Degree

1. Course Requirements - Students pursuing the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Life Physics, Comparative religion and Philosophy, Psychology or Human Science, must complete ninety (90) quarter units of graduate credit beyond the Master’s degree.

2. Transfer Units - Students applying for a Ph.D. program may transfer a maximum of thirty (30) semester or forty-five (45) quarter units of graduate credit previously earned at an accredited or approved college or university. This number of transfer credits is the equivalent of a Master’s degree in most U.S. colleges and universities.

3. Grade Point Average - A student in a Doctoral program must maintain a grade point average of 3.0.

4. Clinical Internship - Students accepted into the Ph.D. program in Clinical-Counseling Psychology must complete 1,500 hours of supervised clinical internship at an approved clinical facility prior to graduation.

5. Successful completion of all Doctoral degree requirements generally takes from three to four years of study as a full time Ph.D. student.


Safety Compliance and Enroll Limitation

This institution, the facilities it occupies, fully comply with any and all federal, state, and local ordinances and regulations, including those requirements as to fire safety, building safety, and health.


Unit of Credit

Each unit represents ten (10) hours of direct instruction and related academic work. Course work is accomplished by classroom lectures, laboratory training, seminars, workshops, library research, and supervised clinical internship activities. Each course will carry four (4) quarter units of academic credit unless stated otherwise.


Academic Advising

Each student enrolled at the Institute shall have a Program Director who assists the student in developing and following an Academic Degree Plan. The student’s Program Director functions as her or his academic advisor throughout the course of their graduate study at the institute.
