The California
Institute for Human Science is located in Encinitas, in the
north part of San Diego County. We are a short drive north
of the beach town of Del Mar, and a 25 minute drive north
on the 5 freeway from downtown San Diego. CIHS is on Garden
View road, just east of El Camino Real, 2.5 miles from the
Pacific ocean. The beautiful and elegant seaside town of La
Jolla is just a 15 minute drive south. San Diego County is
home to many major high tech companies, and world renowned
neuroscience research facilities like, The Salk Institute
in La Jolla. The Scripps Institute of Oceanography, and the
University of California at San Diego are also located in
La Jolla.
